GCSE Results! AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!

So today, I got my GCSE results. Even though I know that GCSEs aren't as important as A-Levels in the long run, I still felt myself get extremely nervous, probably because it was my first ever proper official results day, as I made my way into the school library to find the envelope labelled "Laura Owens" containing the most important piece of paper in my life so far. My heart was pounding as I walked through crowds of people celebrating and hugging. My friend Josh whispered, "Good luck, Laura" to me just before I caught sight of my envelope. I took it over to a quieter spot and my hands were shaking as I pulled the paper out. Here is what I saw (well not exactly what I saw, just a simpler version because there were a lot of components with grades on the page too so I thought I would type them out to make it easier for y'all to read) :

(IGCSE) English Literature: A*
(IGCSE) English Language: A
(IGCSE) Mathematics: A*
(IGCSE) Chemistry: A*
Biology: A*
Graphic Design: A* (holy frick, I got full marks :O )
German: A*
Spanish A*
Latin: A* (YAY!!! I worked my bum off for this subject!)

Note: The ones labelled "IGCSE" were international so that meant apparently they were harder than standard GCSEs. :)

So, overall, I got 8A*s and 1A :) (stupid English Language AAAAAARRRRR- aha I joke, I joke, I was so relieved to just not see any Cs or Ds on that piece of paper!) pheww.....

After my parents had finished chatting to their fellow parents, my family and I went for lunch at the same place we went to last week to celebrate my brother getting into university because I loved the food there so much and I got to choose the restaurant! It was yummy.

I had the same as last time except for starter I had garlic bread with cheese and they gave me a complimentary non-alcoholic cocktail as we were celebrating :)

Here's the link to the blog post where I told you what I had to eat the first time! http://www.missosolaura.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/yesterday-was-awesome.html

Then I came home and got beaten in a sprint race by a six-year-old. Nice one, Laura.
